NEA Foundation Challenge to Innovate

The NEA Foundation has established an exciting new partnership with the US Department of Education. This initiative, Challenge to Innovate (C2i), is a call to action to all public school educators to identify and solve education’s most pressing classroom problems.

C2i is a web-based, open invitation to all public school educators that will be housed on the Department of Education’s Open Innovation Portal. The best ideas will receive cash awards from the NEA Foundation and may be selected for further development.

DonorsChoose.org allows public school educators to submit a project with funding needs and lets donors choose how much to give to that project. Most projects requesting under $400 are funded within a few months.

Toshiba America Foundation Grants for 6-12 Math and Science Teachers

Leave No Trace Grants

Leave No Trace is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors. Leave No Trace offers a variety of grant and scholarship opportunities for individuals and organizations seeking Leave No Trace educational materials and/or training.

Cedar Tree Foundation

The Cedar Tree Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on the areas of sustainable agriculture, environmental education and environmental health. They accept letters of inquiry throughout the year.

Pepsi Refresh Project

Pepsi accepts 1000 ideas every month for projects that have a positive impact on the community. People vote for which project they like the most and the top projects receive funding. There are up to 32 awardees a month with funding of up to $250,000.

America the Beautiful Fund

The America the Beautiful Fund offers grants for free seeds to groups striving to beautify our world through gardening. Use seeds for a school garden, restoration project or schoolyard habitat. Grants of 100 to 1,000 seed packets are offered on a basis of availability and need.

Toyota Tapestry Grants

Toyota Motor Sales USA partners with the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), to offer 50 large grants of up to $10,000 each and 20-32 mini-grants of up to $2,500 to K-12 teachers of science for their innovative project.
