National Park Trust’s Kids to Parks Day Class Contest is calling for proposals from students exemplifying the theme “Explore outdoors, the parks are yours!” Win up to $1,000 to implement a Kids

DoSomething.org is calling on students to green their schools. Students who make the biggest effort to reduce their school's carbon footprint could win up to $1,500 to further their efforts. Schools are eligible for a first-place prize of a $1,500 grant and a banner, a plaque, an eco-friendly gift bag, and a chance to be visited by the biotour bus.

The America the Beautiful Fund offers grants for free seeds to groups striving to beautify our world through gardening. Use seeds for a school garden, restoration project or schoolyard habitat. Grants of 100 to 1,000 seed packets are offered on a basis of availability and need.

The Coca-Cola Company Keep America Beautiful Bin Grant Program supports local community recycling programs by providing bins to selected grant recipients to increase the collection of beverage container recyclables in public and school settings. Youth Garden Grants are awarded to schools and community organizations with child-centered garden programs. Schools, youth groups, community centers, camps, clubs, treatment facilities, and intergenerational groups throughout the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants must plan to garden with at least 15 children between the ages of 3 and 18 years.

This grant program provides schools and parent-teacher groups with resources to help improve some aspect of a school. Grant awards of up to $5,000 are available.  The grant is open to K-12 public schools.
