The Best of the Web is a listing of websites that offer broad overviews and deep background files on different kinds of environmental education programs, curricula, and organizations that are available for teaching K-12 environmental education.
Description: The Center for Environmental Education's mission is to create greener K-12 schools and communities. The two main parts of CEE are a CEE Resource Center, which provides quality EE materials, curriculum and networking connections to teachers and students across the US and Canada; and CEE Programs, which work with particular schools, districts, and communities to create model community-based EE projects. The CEE Resource Center strives to put the perfect EE resource in the hands of teachers, students, or environmental educators as quickly as possible.

Description: The Electronic Naturalist, sponsored by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History and the Cayuga Nature Center, is a new on-line education program providing a weekly environmental education unit. Each unit has artwork, text, activities, additional websites, plus online access to a professional naturalist. Two reading levels are available for grades K-3 (Quick Read) and 4-8 (Full Read).
